What is Earth Day?
Earth Day is an annual event.
It is celebrated on April 22.
Hosting such events demonstrates support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970. Earth Day is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network. It is celebrated in more than 193 countries each year.
According to the official Earth Day Website, Earth Day is "a national day to focus on the environment".
